Get The Hell Out of Your Life
Fredrick's Story: From Blasphemy to Redemption: A Former Luciferian’s Journey to Peace
A Jeep named Blasphemy idled outside a church he never meant to visit—and a single text pushed the door open. What followed wasn’t a lightning bolt but a slow, stubborn grace that met a former Luciferian in his grief, his doubts, and his need for peace. We sit down with Frederick to trace the path from fear-based power to a life anchored in Christ, including the moment he saw a cross “lit” that shouldn’t have been, the day he renounced the enemy out loud on a lonely road, and the quiet practices that turned turmoil into clarity.
We also dig into a question that confuses and scares many: can Christians be possessed by demons? With biblical grounding and help from Dr. Andrew Farley’s teaching, we draw a firm line—indwelt by the Holy Spirit means not possessed. The enemy’s weapons are accusation, deception, and distraction from the outside, but our identity in Christ—holy, forgiven, a new creation—secures the inside. That shift moves us from demon-focused anxiety to Jesus-centered confidence.
Finally, we get practical about living a victorious life. Not hype—habits. We talk discipline that looks like devotion: reading Scripture in context, praying out loud when the mind runs wild, choosing daily to walk as a child of God with power, love, and a sound mind. If you’ve wrestled with dark nights, lingering shame, or the lies that keep you small, this story and the truths we unpack will help you stand tall in the light.

It's time now to get the hell out of your life. A weekly broadcast with real people, sharing real struggles, and offering real hope. Today's show will encourage, inspire, and empower you to face life's challenges with a bold confidence and renewed hope. Now let's join our host, Ron Myers, the promoter.
RonMeyers:Hello, my friends. It's wonderful to be with you today. My name is Ron Myers. I am your host for the show called Get the Hell Out of Your Life: Real Stories, Real Struggles, and Real Hope. Today, we have a story of redemption. Joining me in the studio is a gentleman named Frederick, who is currently driving a Jeep he has named Redemption. Before this Jeep, he drove one he named Blasphemy. He was not a believer. He was actually a member of the Satanic Church. Frederick is here to share his incredible story, and I must say, I'm amazed he is alive to tell it. Later in the commentary, I want to get real with you. There is a lot of darkness in this world, and the enemy seeks to instill fear in us. He wants us to hide away in a cave and not emerge until Jesus returns. But I have news for him. A boldness has emerged across the world over the past few weeks. And as believers, we are no longer accepting this nonsense. We know who we are in Jesus, and our light will drive out the darkness. I will share how to live a victorious life. But first, let's listen to Frederick's testimony.
Frederick:Originally, dad was Air Force. We did a lot of traveling. I got here probably about eight or nine years old. We moved to Biloxi. My mom's from here. We got moved down into Bay St. Louis and then moved over to Biloxian. I've been here ever since. I do consider myself a Biloxian. As a child, did you go to church? Yes. We went to uh Episcopalian church. So you heard about Jesus at a young age? Correct. Yes. So were you active in the church? I was young, not very active. There was always other things I'd rather be doing besides sitting in church, climbing trees and such. We didn't have video games back then.
RonMeyers:What age were you introduced to the satanic church? And how did you get involved?
Frederick:It started off probably about between 10 and 12 years old. And I just turned against God. See movies and the the evil side seemed to be more romantic. And it it started off, you know, I just went to school one day and told a a friend, you know, Satan was the greatest. And it it went from there.
RonMeyers:So obviously you told this to somebody because you wanted their approval, or you wanted were they into Satan?
Frederick:No, they they just for the most part people laughed, you know, at that age. But then it became a thing. You know, everybody was like, well, Freddie's a devil worshiper. And uh were you? Not a practicing. It started off because I thought it would make me cool. I thought that it would make people fear me. And it did, you know, as I grew up through middle school and high school, some of the girls thought, you know, I was mystic. And as I kept going with it, I kept reading and reading what? There were certain books that I could get my hands on at young age. Middle school, uh, you could go to the library and check things out. And I ended up buying the Necronomicon. There were times when when I could get my hands on information. And uh when you're trying to strike fear into other people who are not educated, so to speak, you can do that. You know, you can threaten them with spells and it makes them fear you. Fear, unfortunately, is uh a very powerful thing to use. Well, and then they have movies come out like Harry Potter and back then it the movies were more along the lines of Hellraiser, different things from that genre.
RonMeyers:Was there a part within the satanic church that you were getting smarter and smarter and more powerful and that you were rising in the ranks?
Frederick:Well, as a as a teenager, there wasn't really a church that I could go to. I'm sure there was, but I didn't. And understand I try some of the rituals by myself. As I grew older, then I became part of a group out of uh city down here.
RonMeyers:That that that's what I want on a short time, that's really one I want to get into because there is a lot of people right now, Fred. A lot of people don't know this, but the occult is very strong here on the Gulf Coast.
Frederick:It's strong everywhere, it's just people don't realize it. Now, the internet has made it a little bit easier to understand how many different people are Satanist. What are you saying? Well, devil worshiping is just something people do to be cool. It's not even a religion. Satanism is where you basically as a person believe you're either there is no God and there is only evil, or you're as powerful as God. He has no power. A Luciferian believes that Satan is more powerful than God. And unfortunately, even to this day, even with the change of beliefs, evil is everywhere and you can see it, and it makes you wonder why there's so much of it. That's basically I I believe.
RonMeyers:But you must have, in this time before you met Jesus, there must have been a time that you were practicing evil things, saying evil things, acting like an evil person, dressing like an evil person.
Frederick:I was always parents instilled respect and manners in me. I was I was not your typical movie-style Satanist. I didn't have the dark clothes, the dark makeup, and that to me that was just stupid.
RonMeyers:So, what are your parents telling you? Oh, that's just Fred going through one of those stages, playing with the devil. He'll come back to normal one of these days.
Frederick:I I was a troubled child. Unfortunately, I wasn't normal. I had times I had to go through therapy. The whole time I was growing up, I was on medication. Well, you were like me. You were a wild child. Yes. I back in 1970 when I was born. My dad tells a story 18 months old. They took me to the doctor and said, There's something wrong with this child. He won't stay still, very wild. And the doctor says, That's normal for an 18-month-old child. And my dad says, So we took your leash off of you. And as you were climbing his full wall of books, his eyes were extremely wide wide, and he says, Something's wrong with that kid. The doctor said that? Yes, wrote a prescription for apparently me and mom. I don't know if I would call it autistic, but I had problems. You couldn't touch me without causing pain to me. And then as I grew older, just my thoughts weren't correct. I had zero empathy for human beings, a hundred percent empathy for animals. I've I've always been an animal lover. That's the only time I've I cried. Not anymore, but that was the only time I cried was for the death of an animal. The human didn't bother me. Other people's problems, I just laughed at them.
RonMeyers:So when you're walking in this life as a Satanist, Luciferian, I guess I should say, what are you saying to people that say you need to see, you need Jesus, you need Jesus? People had to have told you that.
Frederick:At that time, there was I read the Bible a lot because I wanted to know my enemy. So I couldn't quote meaning God was your enemy. Yes. I could not quote the verse, but I could tell you things in the Bible that were there. And I could throw out contradictions and arguments using quotes out of the Bible.
RonMeyers:So you're manipulating and deceiving people. That's the gift of a Luciferian. So what happened? There had to be a point that you had to call out to Jesus.
Frederick:I met a woman a long time ago, and uh she's a Christian, not a church-going Christian, but her faith has never wavered. Met her, we got married, had kids.
RonMeyers:She's a Christian, and you she marries you and you're still a Luciferian? Yes. And she knew this. Yes. So she probably had a mission. She was going to change you.
Frederick:Little did I know. Uh I tell everybody to this day, I told them long time ago, because at the time that I met her, I was probably in the evilest time of my life, and I was doing a lot of things that people should not be doing.
RonMeyers:You were living in the dark side, but the light side wanted you, and you now married someone that was going to introduce you to the light.
Frederick:I ended up letting her, I told her, you're going to handle the kids as far as religion goes. The only thing is not going to force feed it to them. I allowed her and the kids to have their thing. And I respected that. I will always, even at that time, I respected my wife's faith. I occasionally would attack her, but she never wavered. But I didn't want the kids to grow up knowing the anger and the hatred for the world that I had. So I let her handle all that. My kids now are kind of amazed at the journey that their dad has gone through. It's not been easy. So how did she bring Jesus into your heart? There was a previous relationship that I had. Me and that girl had two sons. And I guess it's been about eight years ago. My son was killed by police officers in Ocean Springs. Bob, I'm sorry to hear that. I had a co-worker that I worked with who was a Christian, always played Christian music. And every time a conversation would come up, if I was in earshot of it about God, I'd have to walk over there and attack them. Well, the Bible says this and the Bible says that, and you're wrong because of this. And the only thing that man ever said to me was, Come to church one day. I used to laugh. If I walk in that church, the ceiling's gonna crack. I don't go to church. Especially being as your God doesn't live there anyways. You know, things like that. And I was working nightclub security just as a hobby, and it was extra spending money. I caught myself, I got off probably about 4:35 o'clock in the morning, went home, and sleep for an hour or two. I got up one morning, this was after my son's death, and I got in my Jeep, was driving down the road, good sunny morning, pull off. I it's not when I opened my eyes, but when I realized where I was, I was sitting in front of this church. I'm staring at the front door of this church in my Jeep named Blasphemy, and my phone goes off. There's nobody outside this church. My phone dings. I glance down, look, it's a text message from my coworker. It says, uh, don't be scared, come inside. I still don't know why I was there. I do now. So I walk inside, really large church, local church, sunglasses on, walk over and have a conversation with him, and I walk over and he's he's pointing out different things in the church where everybody sits and stuff like that. I'm not going to sit with all those hypocrites. So I walk over and lean against a wall, and this was probably 30 minutes or so before the sermon starts. People kept walking up, shaking his hand, and and for some odd reason there was probably four or five different people, and they just looked at me and said, Are you okay? You know, I've got on my sunglasses, so I know they can't see my eyes. Yeah, I'm fine. First thought in my head is, Why are you even talking to me? Sermon starts. The preacher goes into, or the pastor goes into his sermon, and the whole time I'm watching this, needing to argue. My brain is just telling me to blurt out the truth. Respectfully, I just leaned against the wall. So the end of the sermon happens and everybody's milling about, and I glance over and off to the side of the church is this huge cross up against a wall, and it's all lit up. I told my buddy Chris, said, I'll be back. I walked over there and pulled a chair up in front of the cross and spun it around, sat down. I said, All right, God, I'm here. Now's the time if you want to talk to me. And it was total silence. Nothing. I didn't I didn't feel anything. I didn't think I felt anything. I didn't hear anything. I couldn't even hear people mulling about behind me or or talking. It was just total silence. So I just I wiped away the tears, got up, said, okay, I gave up on you 30 years ago. I guess now it's your turn. So I turned around and walked out. I didn't say bye to anybody. Got in my Jeep, went home. Monday morning rolls around. Chris walks up to me. He says, Where'd you go? You walked off like you were going to talk to somebody. I said, I did. He said, You know somebody else there? I said, trust me. I don't know him. I went back to work. About an hour or so later, same question. Where'd you go? I said, I went to talk to somebody. And this this went on all day long with 30, 40 minute breaks between our conversations. The last time he asked, I finally said, I went and sat down in front of the cross, tried to talk to God. He wasn't home. What made you do that? I said, I don't know. The cross was all lit up. I figured, what the hell? Let me go sit down and see why I'm here. Because I still don't know what made me go to church that day. And just nonchalantly, he said, the cross isn't lit up. I said, look, don't start this. And I turned around and walked off. Tuesday rolls around, same conversation. Almost word for word, same conversation. Cross isn't lit up. I said, look, don't play this Christian mumbo jumbo game with me. I created that game. And he says, I'm telling you, the cross isn't lit up. I'm said, I'm telling you it is. There's spotlights on the ceiling, Chris. Those spotlights aren't on. Don't play this game with me. Wednesday rolls around. We have the same argument. We're talking about the same thing. To the point I made him call the pastor. And he comes back to me and he says, Pastor says those lights aren't on. I said, whatever. I said, I'll tell you what, Sunday, I'm going to come down there. I'm going to walk in the door, prove my point, and I'm walking out. So I get there the next Sunday, walk in, meet with Chris, grab a cup of coffee. We're walking through towards the cross. The spotlights are on. And the pastor is in there. And he stops, and I can hear him and Chris talking, and I'm staring at the cross. And the pastor said, Chris, I'm glad you called because it reminded me to turn those lights on. They haven't been on in months. Again, I knew somebody was playing a game. And I said, Chris, see, spotlights are on. I said, if you look and see, the spotlights are pointed at the wall. They weren't on the cross. Only the cross was lit up that day. And I sat there and I wiped a couple of tears out of my eyes, and he just pats me on the arm and said, There's your sign. So was that the date you came to Jesus? I went and leaned against the wall again. Went through that sermon, listening this time, instead of wanting to argue. And the next Sunday, and the next Sunday, and the next Sunday. Eventually, there were many other things that started happening. My dreams after that day got really horrible. I've always had bad dreams, but they got really intense. It got to a point one day I'm driving home from work after just a horrible day. And I'm probably look like a lunatic to people driving by me. I'm screaming at the top of my lungs. I'm done with you, Satan. Leave me alone. And I have no idea how I knew to do it, but I said I rebuke you in the name of the Lord. Leave me alone. I'm done. You lied to me for too long. And my dreams stopped that night. I still dream, but they're not bad anymore. I have different situations where that made me realize he was talking to me. I just couldn't hear him. I didn't know how to hear him, didn't know how to listen. To this day I still have problems praying. I have to pray out loud because too many different things go running through my brain when I try to do it quietly. I've read that they say if if you pray, it should be silent so that Satan can't hear what you're praying about, because he can only hear what comes out of your mouth. As time went on, I kept going to church. It got closer to Chris. We had deeper conversations. There were a couple of instances and a list of days that things weren't going good. And I didn't know whether I had made the right choice, which is really ignorant because God's the one that makes the choice for you. I uh I'm driving down the road one morning, 6:30 in the morning, on the way to work, and I'm just trying to do this praying thing that Chris was and my wife have tried to teach me about. So I'm talking out loud and I said, God, you know, if I'm on the right path, if I'm doing the right thing, I need to feel or see something. I need to hear your voice as a street light popped on as I'm driving by. I'm like, okay, thank you. And uh that's where it all started. I ended up now, I'm not what you would call a Christian. Chris taught me that I'm a disciple because I'm learning, and I learn every day. Every single day I'm I'm reading a verse, and I'm reading before and after, so the context is correct. Which is the easiest way to attack people is to take things out of context. Every day I learn something that's in the Bible that most people didn't know was there.
RonMeyers:When I return, can believers be possessed by Satan?
Announcement:You're listening to Get the Hell Out of Your Life with your host, Ron Myers. Real stories, real struggles, and real hope.
Ad:Satan is fighting for your soul. He will do anything to deceive and discourage you so that you will not trust God. The Bible says you will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you. This means those who trust God can have a peace that defeats Satan and brings us under God's protection. If you would like to learn how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have that perfect peace, then call or text us at 888 Meet Him.
RonMeyers:So the question is, can believers be possessed by the devil? Years ago, I used to believe that. As a matter of fact, when I was doing outreach ministry and I met a Christian who thought they were fighting a demon inside them, I would go up to that person, place my hand on them, and declare, I rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus. But as life went on and I got a little wiser, I discovered through good Bible teaching that a Christian cannot be possessed by a demon. As a Christian, Jesus is dwelling inside of you. In fact, I have a clip from my favorite internet preacher, Dr. Andrew Farley from Dallas, Texas. Let's listen to what he says about a demon possessing Christians.
Dr.AndrewFarley:The reality is what sets us free is that the enemy cannot touch us. Are there fiery darts coming at us? Yes, but they are from the outside. It's not the enemy creeping in to indwell us or, you know, we're not possessed by the enemy. We can't be. God cleaned house, he moved in, and he does not share us with a demon. So, you know, again, the irony is there because we've got these Christians who become teachers, quite frankly, in some cases when they shouldn't be, and all they're doing is scaring other Christians to death with watch out for that demon, watch out for that devil, watch out for that enemy. And there's so many Christians that are consumed with the enemy, they've got no time to fix their eyes on Jesus. So look at what the gospel has done for us. I mean, what God has done through the gospel is this He has rigged it so that we can think about Jesus. How has he rigged it? Well, you don't have to think about your sins anymore. You're forgiven. You're forgiven, your sins are forgotten, so you don't have to be obsessed with your past, you don't have to be consumed with your sins, you can fix your eyes on Jesus. Well, what about yourself? Well, you don't have to be fixated on yourself either. Your old self died, you're a new self, a new creation. You're holy, you're righteous, you're blameless, you're indwelt by Christ. He's for you. There's no condemnation for those in Christ. So you can not have to worry about your sins, and you don't have to worry about yourself, and you certainly don't have to worry about Satan a bunch. Instead, you recognize he's not able to touch you. So then what are you going to be preoccupied with? And the answer is simple Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Now really think about that.
RonMeyers:No, a demon cannot possess a Christian. As believers, we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and God's presence within us means that Satan cannot take residence in us. First John 4.4 assures us that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, highlighting the power and protection we have through the Holy Spirit. Additionally, first John 5 18 states that the evil one cannot, cannot touch us, affirming our security in Christ. You see, when we come to faith in Jesus, we are given a new heart and a new spirit. That's Ezekiel 36, 26 through 27. We are joined to the Lord as one spirit with him, 1 Corinthians 6, verse 17. This union with Christ means there is no room for a demon to possess us. While Satan can still attempt to deceive and accuse us, his attacks are external and cannot penetrate the indwelling presence of God within us. Therefore, as Christians, we can rest assured in the truth that we are protected by God and cannot be possessed by demons. Our focus should be on renewing our minds with the truth of the gospel and standing firm in our identity in Christ. So now I have another question. How can we live a victorious life? How do we overcome dark feelings, oppression, and depression? Those moments that can make us want to hide away in fear. I found an insightful answer while watching Charlie Kirk's memorial service. One of the speakers, Dr. Larry Orne, shared some profound thoughts that I would like to convey. After that, I will unpack the wisdom in what he said.
Dr.LarryArn:I have uh one short story to tell you about Charlie Kirk, my friend. He became a friend of mine because I interrogated him one time. 19-year-olds are my specialty. I asked him some questions he couldn't answer. And he was already becoming famous. And I noticed his reaction. He said, What should I do? And I said, Well, you have to suffer. If you want to grow, you have to suffer. Hard to learn. End of the night. Crack at dawn in the morning. Start with the Bible. Read the classics. Study the founding of America. In those places, you will find that there's a ladder that reaches up toward God. And at the bottom of it is the ordinary good things that are around us everywhere. If we can call them by their names, they have being. And the beings of the good things are figments of God. You will find that article in Aristotle. You will find it in the Bible. You will find it in Madison and Jefferson. How do I learn that? He said. You have to study. You have to think.
RonMeyers:As I listened to Dr. Arn speak about how Charlie was working hard, he used the term suffering. But I heard discipline. Charlie had disciplined himself to get up, read, and study. Friends, that's precisely what we need to do. We must be committed to living life with Jesus, 24-7. Consider Jesus as essential, has oxygen. You can't live without it. You cannot have a victorious life without Jesus. This commitment isn't just a one-hour appointment once a week. The enemy will take advantage of you if you approach it that way. You have to wake up each day knowing that you are a child of God, holy, righteous, blameless, and forgiven. Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. This is your time, my friend. While the world may be growing darker, your light shines brighter. Have no fear. The Bible tells us that we have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. I don't know about you, but I am eagerly anticipating the incredible revival that is coming to the world. I don't know when it will happen, but I believe it will be very soon. Will you be a part of it? I'll be back to close out the show in just a minute.
Ad:How do you get the hell out of your life? Get on your knees and cry out to the Lord. He hears you right where you are. How to get the hell out of your life? Well, yeah, replace it with Jesus. We got to be born again, born of the Spirit, and that's by trusting Jesus Christ, turning from our sins and trusting Jesus. How do you get the hell out of your life? Oh gosh.
RonMeyers:Jesus. Jesus. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.
Ad:Turn to Jesus.
RonMeyers:As we close out today's show, I have a scripture verse for you to meditate on this week. Joshua chapter 1, verse 9. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Let's pray. Lord, I thank you for your word, which is comfort, help, and encouragement to me, not only in times of trouble, but every day. I pray for those who need to experience your comfort today. Amen. I will be back next week with more stories of God's faithfulness. Get the hell out of your life is available on your favorite podcast platform. In fact, our latest statistics show that this show has been heard in 144 countries and 3,471 cities. Jesus is on the move. So why not tell someone this week what Jesus did for you? Until next time, this is Ron Myers reminding you that I love you, Jesus loves you, and when you give your life to Jesus, you not only get the hell out of your life, but you will begin to experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
