Get The Hell Out of Your Life
Julietta: Walking by Faith & Rigged for Courage
What if the dead end you’re staring at is actually a turn you’re meant to take? We open with Joshua 1:9 and move into a lived picture of courage through Julietta—a Gulf Coast stylist and street evangelist whose season of surrender cost her a home, a car, and savings, but gave her a clear identity and a relentless mission: be the hands and feet of love. She describes how small, precise provisions—discounted salon space, a meal at the right moment, twenty dollars that showed up when it mattered—kept her moving as she shared Jesus in low places and reminded people they are seen.
We dig into identity, naming love as both calling and compass. Julietta speaks to church hurt, spiritual pushback, and the daily choice to repent, obey, and tell the truth. Her lens is simple: anything that isn’t love isn’t from God. That clarity turns opposition into training, fear into a cue to act, and scarcity into an invitation to trust. Ron adds a defining moment from years back—a tense encounter with a biker at a nightclub that pivoted on a quiet act of courage and a disarming sentence: God loves you. Months later, that seed mattered more than anyone knew.
The heartbeat here is practical hope. If you’re asking how to “get the hell out of your life,” we talk about trading control for surrender, using your everyday skills to serve, and choosing small acts of obedience before you feel brave. We end with a focused prayer for power, love, and a sound mind, and a reminder that your steps are ordered even when the map looks blank. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs courage today, and leave a review with the one moment that moved you most. Your story might be the next spark someone needs.

It's time now to get the hell out of your life. A weekly broadcast with real people, sharing real struggles, and offering real hope. Today's show will encourage, inspire, and empower you to face life's challenges with a full confidence and renewed hope. Now let's join our host, Ron Myers, the promoter.
RonMeyers:Hello, my friends. It is so good to be with you today. My name is Ron Myers. I'm your host, and this is a show that shares stories of God's faithfulness. Remember last week when I talked about my meditation for you this week? Hopefully you've been thinking about it. Was from Joshua chapter one, verse nine. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Isn't that really powerful? You know the thing is with God, He's with you whether you know it or not. I wrote a statement yesterday as I was having my coffee with Jesus that says, God has been with us completely along life's road, even when we are not with him. Imagine how your life can be when you realize that God is with you. God is for you, and God is not against you. With God, you can be strong and courageous, knowing that He's leading you on the path that may not make any sense to you. In fact, you may think that you are on your way to a dead end. But as I like to say, it's rigged. It's rigged for you to hear this today. It's rigged for what's happening in your life because it's going to come to a point that you will run into the intersection of life, of God, of opportunity, and you will realize that Ron was right. It is rigged. This had to happen so I can experience the life saving power, comfort, inspiration, and encouragement of Jesus. If we don't have encouragement with Jesus, if we don't have inspiration or divine thoughts in the day and do the things he's called us to do, we can have a day that, well, it seems like nothing is going right. And then you know what happens? We begin to doubt. We begin to doubt the things we're doing. And then even some of you will say, Well, maybe I'm lost in the wilderness because I did something. I sinned. I knew I shouldn't have sinned. Oh, I skipped church. Oh man, God has really ticked at me. No, no, and no. Friends, life is an adventure. And in this adventure, especially when we're doing life with Jesus, some things just don't make sense. But God is with us, God is for us, and it's rigged. He is leading you to where you need to be, and you are in the right place at the right time, even if it seems like it's the wrong place and the wrong time. I will go into that a little later in the show, but first Julietta. Julietta is a young lady that travels the Gulf Coast, and I had to interview her because you see, she is like the wind. She blows into a city, stays for a while, and then heads to another city. She has a mission to tell people about Jesus. And that's what this show is about. It's the testimonies from individuals just like you, just like me that want to share what Jesus did for them and what they are doing now to tell other people about Jesus. I know sometimes it seems like we have to be scholars or graduates of seminaries before we can do God's work. But that's not true. Anyone can do God's work by just telling people what Jesus did for you. As you listen to Julietta, I think you will enjoy her enthusiasm and her zeal for life because she is walking by faith, not by sight, and the spirit is leading her into incredible situations. Julietta, thank you so much for sharing your story with my listeners today. So, what's your story?
Jullietta:I am Julie at a Dalcourt. I am a 39-year-old woman, and I am here as a servant of Jesus Christ.
RonMeyers:Now, what does that mean, a servant of Jesus Christ?
Jullietta:That means that to him I live, for him I died, I was reborn again, which led me to everlasting life. And that means that I am the hands and feet of the Holy Spirit, which is going to lead and guide me to serve the purpose of spreading his love here on this earth.
RonMeyers:Amen. Now, where did you grow up?
Jullietta:I grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi.
RonMeyers:Oh, you're from here.
Jullietta:I thought you were traveling through. No, I'm from Gulfport, Mississippi, and He has led me to come outside of Gulfport, Mississippi, to the Bullock City Iverville area.
RonMeyers:So when did you meet Jesus?
Jullietta:I've always known him, not the name Jesus, but a special feeling that I felt during some trying times in my life. Ever since I was a little girl, I've had a discernment inside of me to know when something was right or when something was wrong. And I grew up in the church, you know, I grew up in Baptist church. And I've come to know that God was real because those feelings that I was feeling were very supernatural. So supernatural to where I actually begged to take the feelings away, you know, and I've just always had them inside of me, yet I completely surrendered, completely surrendered my life to Jesus about a good four years, four years ago, is when I'm like, you know what? Have your way. Yet prior to that, I was in a sinful nature, yet it did not stop the relationship that I had with him. Yet I was running. I was going through that running season of, oh, if I go your way, you know, it's nobody's gonna like me and I'm gonna be alone. And it was just all types of things that had me running. Yet that's a part of the testimony. I was tested, yet I never denied his name.
RonMeyers:Wow.
Jullietta:He's inside of all of us, you know.
RonMeyers:Now, at 39 years old, you've had to have some ups and downs in life. Is there an instant where you can share with the listeners something that really was supernatural that Jesus did in your life to help you?
Jullietta:Yes. About a year ago, I went through a season to where I got on my knees, and um, quite often for about a good month, I was like, you know, I surrender. I said, I surrender everything to you. Because at that time I was experiencing a lot of hurt, a lot of betrayal. And I'm like, wait a minute, you know, I come in peace and love. Why am I taking these hits like I'm taking from family, from friends, from authorities, from like it was just unreal so at his appointed time, he he answered my cry. And in the midst of that, I'm talking about verbatim. It was like I lost the house. I had to move out of the house that I was renting. That went sour. I had to go into hotels, I had to allow for my daughters to leave, and I had been around them every single day, and I had to answer, you know, his suggestion actually, because he gave me the free will to allow for them to go visit family for a little bit. And then I lost my car, and then my things got stolen, my money got stolen, and I had nothing or no one. I called over 50 people in my phone for five dollars just to get something to eat. I didn't have anything or anyone for a very long time, yet I was following him. I knew that this is what I asked for. He never not answered a prayer. So I'm like, you know what? This is purposeful. So he carried me, he led me as if his hand was out in front of me, you know, for me to grab, and I followed. And in the midst of that, he allowed for me to come and come across people in lowly places that just needed to hear his name, to need they needed to know that he is he was there with them, and what they're going through is just so so he can reveal itself to them and to trust him. So, in the midst of all that, oh, it was just so much yet, and so many horrible things happen. I'm not giving credit, you know, to the bad things, but yet he carried me through only him, only him. And when I say him, that is the Holy Spirit and how powerful it is for him to reveal himself through the people to be able to carry me. So it wasn't any money that carried me, it wasn't any person, place, or thing that carried me. It was him to allow for me to let go of the idols, to fully get into intimacy with him so he can use me according to the will of our heavenly father of what I'm created to be here.
RonMeyers:It sounds like you went through a renewal process. Something is happening, and you're ministering to people that are like you, that they have nothing, you have nothing, but yet you have something in common. You love Jesus, or you are wanting to be, as you said, the hands and feet of Jesus.
Jullietta:Yes, yes. I realize that once you know him, that's how you get to know your true identity, who you really are created to be. You know, we are in this fallen world, and you know, we've all been through trials and tribulations and trauma, and some people have even been through church hurt, but those were just schemes to get people to be so blinded, so they'll never know their identity through him. But once they know their identity through Christ, then they'll know who they are, and that way they'll know who love is, what love is, and then it'll be a trickle effect so we can do what he is calling for us to do, which is to love our neighbor as ourselves in this season.
RonMeyers:Amen. So, Julietta, what is your identity?
Jullietta:My identity in Christ. Wow, my identity is a daughter, a daughter of the most high, a daughter that was created from him to be able to be here on this earth to have an opportunity to divide the kingdom of darkness by being the light, in order for those who are called to him can come to him, because we never know when that day or that time is. So we all need the opportunity to hear the word of Jesus, his name alone is powerful. So I'm here to just spread love. My identity is love.
RonMeyers:I love that. Your identity is love. The Bible says God is love and we are an extension of his love. And I love how you you use the term hands and feet because all of us need to be the hands and feet. Show a little more love out there, be kind to people. Now, what are your goals? What are what are you up to now? Are you still without a vehicle and living in hotels? How how do you even make income?
Jullietta:He provides. I had a gift that he, you know, I was born with. I'm a hairstylist, so I do hair whenever I can. I actually uh it's a young lady. Well, I'm saying young lady because we're all young, we're grown up. It's a girl who um had a salon and you know, she charged me minimal to come in there and do hair when I need to, you know, to make, you know, ends meet. So that's a way. I help people, I serve, like, you know, and then I get blessings, you know, here and there. You know, someone may buy me a meal, send me $20, and that is everything, you know, when you're in need of something. When I say everything, it doesn't come before him. I have a business that is a is a kingdom business, and I help people be who they're created to be. I have a nonprofit that he's blessed me with, and it's a lot of great things going. Motivational speaking, it's like whatever it is that he has for me to you is what I'm doing.
RonMeyers:You are adaptable to about any situation. I love that. I love that. Be in the world, but not of the world. But you're in the world, but you can kind of blend in and share Jesus with every size, shape, and person. I love it. I love it. You know, the name of this show is called Get the Hell Out of Your Life. How does a person get the hell out of their life?
Jullietta:Oh, wow. A person gets the hell out of their life by understanding that it's God, God the Father, the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, which is one. The power of the Holy Spirit is available to all of us, which is the free gift that God gives us. And that way, a blindfold will be unveiled from our eyes, and he will reveal his miracles, signs, and wonders and truth to where you will know the obstacles that you are up against. Anything that is not of good is of Satan, is of the devil. He comes to kill, steal, and destroy. And I've been able to face every single one of his little minions to be able to know that you can rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus, and you can tell him to get thee behind me so you can stop whatever it is that's stopping you from knowing your identity through Christ. So I can truthfully say that he is behind every type of hurt that you have ever felt, and anything that is not of love is not of God. So I got the hell out of my life by defeating the giants, by accepting to call to know my identity through Christ through the Holy Spirit, revealing it and doing it for me. It was none of me, all of him.
RonMeyers:You know, I understand now why God puts you out there on the streets. You're a little evangelist, you're kind of like a John the Baptist, wild lady, Julieta going out for on the streets, telling people about Jesus. I love it.
Jullietta:Yes, yes, yes. And I am so honored. I'm honored.
RonMeyers:Do people heckle you? Do you have people that try to cause trouble with you?
Jullietta:Oh gosh, I've had so much to happen to me. I've got banned for being loving and kind and you know, trying to restore a brother. I have been gang stalked by for do for praying for someone. And actually, like it was crazy. I was in a situation to where, like, if they could have wrapped a rope around my neck and hung me, they would have only because I spoke the name of Jesus. And in that moment, I realized that wow, you are more than what I could ever know. Because if it was not for your hands being on me, I wouldn't even be here speaking.
RonMeyers:Wow.
Jullietta:To you right now.
RonMeyers:Well, you know, I tell people a lot, Julietta, that we can know Jesus from a historical perspective. No, read about him in a book. He did this and he did that. Or we can know him like you do in a personal experience, an interaction, an intimate relationship. And that's really where we should all want to walk of understanding who he is, what we're here for, because that is when he inspires us and encourages us on our walk in life, isn't it?
Jullietta:Yes, it is. And we all have the opportunity to know by the obedience of what he says. You know, like if a person is walking in darkness, he's never going to allow for them to walk alone. He's always going to place someone that can tell them the truth. And then if we repent, repent all the time because none of us are sin free. So if we're repenting and being obedient to what he says, do, it gives him an opportunity because he's holy, holy, holy. So it'll give him an opportunity to work with us. You know, he can mess with the truth, but he's not going to deal with the lie. But by his grace and mercy, he still carries us. If we all would just seek, we will find.
RonMeyers:Amen. You know, Julieta, before we go, I'm gonna have you pray for the listeners in just a minute. But I want to say that I really want to thank you, and I want to thank God. But uh, listeners, if you just tuned in, someone gave her my phone number because they wanted her to call because I share stories about Jesus. So I know God put me in your path. Thank you for being obedient, and thank you for calling me, and thank you for really sharing your story. I mean, you are the real deal. You're out there on the streets with nothing. You live in hotel room after hotel room, but yet God provides, you get to cut hair, you get to do things, you earn extra money. But the most important thing is you're giving people hope. And people are looking for hope, Julieta. So before we close, will you give some hope to the listeners out there that are struggling, that are scared, they're ready to give up, they're ready to call it quits. Will you give hope to those folks?
Jullietta:Absolutely. Absolutely. The things that you're going through right now, it's only because God has trusted you. God has trusted you to go through what you're going through. So you won't deny his name when he blesses you with the things that he has for you that are attached to your identity through Christ. We are here to be the light. Those of us who have the heart and have the desires and are looking for things, and don't, and when I say things, that's not in regards to people, places, or things. That is regards to the desires of the heart, who you are and who you are created to be. Therefore, you've been trusted to steward hardships. So when you overcome them, you will come across people and won't be hypocritical when you tell them about it. Jesus is real. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, which is one, is real. I'm Julie, I'm a hairstylist, I'm a serving of Jesus. Um I'm so much more, but I'm one individual. That's who we all are. Seek him. Speak the name of Jesus by faith. Speak the name of Jesus. Even if you're not even a real believer, try it. He will never fail because he is the way, he is the truth, and he is life.

RonMeyers:Do you remember the show, The Wizard of Oz? And what was it the lion wanted? Courage.
Movie Clip:What makes a king out of a slave? Courage. What makes the flag on the master wave? Courage. What makes the elephant charge his dusk in the misty mist or the dusky dusk? What makes the muskrat god his musk? Courage. What makes the sphinx the seventh wonder? What makes the dust? Courage. You can say that again.
RonMeyers:If the lion would have just realized that God was with him. God was along the road of life with him, and God could be his courage. Talking about courage takes me back to when I was around 25 years old. I was single, and a friend of mine would go out on Saturday night to a nightclub in Golf Park called the Cheyenne Social Club. We love to dance, and we would have a little private contest between both of us. Who could dance with the most women there at the nightclub? Well, I got off the dance floor one night, and this big biker came right up in front of me. And he looked at me and he said, You think you're cool, don't you, Mr. Ron Myers? And I looked at this guy, big, heavy, set gentleman, and all the tattoos, his biker jacket. So I looked at him, I knew this was a defining moment for me, and I said, No, I don't think I'm cool at all. I'm just trying to have some fun there with my friend. And he looked at me, he said, You do you know I could take you outside right now and crush you? I could kill you. I inched a couple inches closer to him, looked at him in the eye, and said, Yes, you could. But what would that prove? That you're some big Mr. Tough guy? And then, out of the clear blue, I just said, by the way, did you know that God loves you? Well, this big bully took a step backwards, paused a minute, looked at me, and then said, Can I buy you a beer? I said, Why would you buy me a beer? You just wanted to take me outside and beat me to a pole. He said, Nobody has ever stood up to me before. I've always pushed around people, but you had the courage to challenge me. Friends, that was that was a defining moment in my life. I mean, I was a young squirt, kind of skinny. I would have rather taken a punch I didn't want to die, than to walk away and be a coward. Some of the things that we fear in life are defining moments because if we don't confront it, if we don't deal with it, it will absolutely haunt you for a long time. You will lose respect for yourself and you'll never want to talk about it with people. What am I saying? I'm saying God is with you. God has given you courage. He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. God is with you, God is for you, and God is not against you. Now here's a little tidbit the rest of the story with that gentleman. About six months later, his wife called me and asked if I would help do a fundraiser for her husband. She said, My husband has been diagnosed with brain cancer and only has a little time to live, and he has some expensive medical bills. And friends, six months later he did pass. But I look now back at that, and God had it rigged. He had it rigged for me and for Randy. He had it rigged for me because he was teaching me about courage that I was going to go through life and people were going to try to intimidate me, try to push me to the sidelines in life. But I would have to stand strong and be courageous. And he also rigged it to have a conversation with Randy and plant the seed of God. His wife did tell me that he asked Jesus into his heart before he passed. So, friend, let me ask you what are you fearful of? What do you need a courage to face in your life? God wants to help you. Jesus wants to guide you into the land of your destiny. And Jesus will lead you to the path that you need to go. After all, it's rigged. He's got a plan for you. You needed to hear this today because God is moving in your life. And when I come back, I'm going to pray for you.
Speaker 7:Ron, we'll be back in a moment to wrap up today's conversation, right after a word from our sponsor.
