Get The Hell Out of Your Life
Created for Success: The Power Of Faith
What if your future isn’t determined by your last setback but by the wisdom you choose to seek today? We explore how faith can turn confusion into clarity and transform everyday choices into a life filled with peace, purpose, and courage. From identity to discipline, forgiveness to prayer, you’ll hear how aligning with God’s design helps you fail forward, embrace change, and protect your mind in a noisy world.
We dig into practical steps that make belief actionable. You’ll learn why owning your choices unlocks momentum, how seeking wisdom (not just information) reshapes your direction, and why curating your inputs matters for your mood, health, and relationships. We talk about becoming the person you were uniquely crafted to be instead of chasing comparisons, and we get honest about seasons we don’t like—how gratitude and trust in those moments become tools for growth rather than reasons to quit.
You’ll also hear candid stories about losing a job, finding guidance in unexpected places, and discovering that the right place can look like the wrong place until faith reframes it. We connect spiritual habits to daily outcomes: exercising as stewardship, forgiving to reclaim energy, praying for success with clean motives, and listening for the still small voice that can save you from costly mistakes. If you’re tired of drifting and ready for a clear compass, this conversation offers both hope and a roadmap.
If this helped you regain focus and courage, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs encouragement, and leave a review so more people can find real hope and practical wisdom.

It's time now to get the hell out of your life. A weekly broadcast with real people, sharing real struggles, and offering real hope. Today's show will encourage, inspire, and empower you to face life's challenges with a full confidence and renewed hope. Now let's join our host, Ron Myers, the promoter.
Ron Meyers:Hello, my friends. It's great to be with you. Happy Thanksgiving. I'm Ron Myers. I'm your host, and the show is called Get the Hell Out of Your Life. It's a platform where I share my experiences with Jesus and discuss the amazing things he has done in my life and the lives of my guests. We love to brag on Jesus. And if you don't know Jesus the way we do, it may be because you haven't been told about his extravagant grace and God's awesome plan for your life, which is truly incredible. Well, today I have a special Thanksgiving program for you titled The Power of Faith. Years ago, I produced a booklet called The Power of Faith, and I distributed these booklets in places like post office counters, Walmart bathrooms, carbors, anywhere I could set a booklet. My goal was to provide hope, encouragement, and inspiration for people. And today I am so thankful on this Thanksgiving weekend because of God's amazing grace. Frankly, without his amazing grace, we would all be toast. I took my faith, my grace, and I allowed Jesus to grow it, and together we are promoting the power of faith. I want to share the contents of the power of faith booklet with you. You will be blessed by it. So let's dive in to the power of faith, and I'll return to close out the show. I am often asked, Ron, what is your secret to success? My reply is simple it's no secret, it's God's design for each of us, achieved by God's amazing grace and the power of faith. I would like to share how the power of faith has impacted my life and how you too can have success through God. Did you know you were destined for success before you were even in your mother's womb? That's right, friend. Before birth, the number of your days was all written by God. Jeremiah chapter 1, verse 5 says, I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations. Friends, God created you with a plan. You are created in the image of God with particular talents, skills, and abilities that only you have, which means you are an original, not a copy. God wants to empower you today to use those talents, skills, and abilities to change the trajectory of your life. Today, this show is for the person who feels like something is missing in their life, for the person who wants to laugh again, sing again, love again, believe again for the person looking for hope, for the person ready to discover the next chapter of life. I believe in you, friend, and I want to encourage you that no matter where you are in life, God is at work in your life. God has not left you, God is for you. And today I will share some things that you can incorporate into your life that will empower you on your journey. Fail forward. When you experience failure, setbacks, and disappointments, it isn't because God punishes or ignores you. Instead, setbacks and disappointments enable us to learn and become dependent on the true teacher of success, Jesus Christ. I have discovered that with a teachable spirit, those obstacles, difficulties, setbacks, and disappointments become the stepping stones to success. The things that hindered me often now propel me to more significant opportunities. In other words, I fail forward, experiencing success because of learning from all my past mistakes. You are not a puppet. Does anyone believe we are puppets and that God moves our strings? You and I have the freedom of choice and we can choose to listen to God for instruction, or we can choose to listen to other voices in this world. The freedom to choose which path you will take in life is strictly your choice. Be aware though that your current life is created from the choices you made yesterday, just as the choices you make today and tomorrow will ultimately build your future. I have discovered that when I make better choices, when I take time to relax with Jesus, time to pray, read God's word, seek direction for my teacher, my mentor, my best friend, my encourager, Jesus, things begin to fall into place. God's unconditional love. You are destined for success when you accept and internalize God's free gift of unconditional love. God loves you unconditionally and nothing you can do will change that. God desires an intimate relationship with you based on his unconditional and infinite love. However, how can we, as flawed human beings, hope to have an intimate relationship with the creator of the universe? Well, God made a way by sending his son Jesus to die on the cross and bear the punishment that you and I deserve. Remember the thief on the cross next to Jesus? He said, Jesus, remember me. And Jesus said, Today you will be with me in paradise. That is the message of grace, a free gift. You cannot earn God's grace, for it is his unmerited favor and a gift that costs the giver everything, and it cost us nothing. It is accessible to you and me if we would just open our heart and ask Jesus to come in. Too many people think they must change their behavior or lifestyle before God will love them. But that isn't true. God loves you right now, unconditionally. God is the source of all love, a gift we share with others. I've discovered that the more I remind myself of God's love, the more my love for Him and others grows. You are destined for success when you accept God's unconditional love. Jeremiah chapter 31 verse 3 says, I have loved you with an everlasting love. If you don't become you, who will? You are destined for success when you begin to accept who you are. You are God's masterpiece. A masterpiece is a one of a kind. I mean, think about it. You've got one fingerprint, no one else in the world has that. Soak that in for a while. You are a masterpiece created by God for God. So many of us compare ourselves to others and want to be like or imitate them. But friends, if you do not become you, who will? No one and you will rob the world of God's precious, unique gift. You. We are all born with specific personalities, talents, skills, and abilities. And your purpose in life is directly linked to your character, talents, skills, and abilities. I discovered that my life took on meaning when I was true to myself and accepted whom God created me to be. I wanted to become Ron, no one else. My goal was no longer to be a people pleaser, but my focus was now on living life with Jesus. I took seriously the fact that God had an assignment, a purpose for me to do. And by God's grace, I have enjoyed great success and joy through God. As a result, I wake up each day eager to pursue my purpose and discover new opportunities. Sometimes God places us in a season that we don't particularly care for, but that is part of the journey. And I believe that's where you will grow the most because each step of your journey shapes and molds you. Your attitude should be, Lord, I may not like this, I may not understand this, but I choose to trust you and not lean on my understanding. You see, friends, an attitude of gratitude is the very thing that allows us to experience success through God. Some of the jobs I have had in life, I didn't really want them, but I embraced each of them as a learning experience. It is often these unpleasant experiences that God will use to shape and mold us into the person he created us to become. Seek wisdom. You are destined for success when you begin to seek wisdom. I remember when starting in business, I thought I knew everything and nobody was going to tell me what to do. Well, that attitude led me to failures and setbacks. See, when we think we know everything, we shut off the voices of wise counsel and of God. After three years in business, I struggled financially and told myself, I can't do this anymore. I'm going to quit. But just when we are ready to quit, God loves to step in. I felt something, that quiet little voice telling me not to stop, but rather seek wisdom. You know, in the Bible, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream one night, and God asked Solomon, What shall I give you? And Solomon asked for wisdom, and God was pleased. So where do you get wisdom? Wisdom can only come from God. I found the book of Proverbs full of wisdom, which gave me an awesome insight about living life, and success was within reach. Wisdom produces success, the kind of success that grows exponentially. There is no reason you should not excel in your field of assignment when you seek wisdom. Now, unlike knowledge, wisdom cannot be gained apart from God. Many of us are stubborn and we ask everyone in the world but God. Only a humble heart can ask God for wisdom. When you get into the habit of asking God for wisdom, your thinking begins to change. The book of Proverbs is my go-to reading. After all, they have 31 chapters, a chapter for every day of the week. You are destined for success by humbling yourself and asking for and receiving wisdom from God. Proverbs 4 verse 6 says, Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you. Love her and she will watch over you. Guard your mind. You are destined for success when you begin to guard what goes into your mind. I had a radio show for eight years for two hours each day. I woke up each day going through the news to find negative stories. I sought topics for my radio show to create conversation based on negative news stories with my audience. Unfortunately, the radio personality was so busy building an audience that I often missed God's grace in my show. Well, after 10 years of doing this, the radio station closed and that practice stopped. But what happened is that I soon realized my mood had changed. I was happy. Instead of focusing on negative news, I was focusing on the positive things of God for my life. And soon I found myself removing all areas of negative input into my life and replacing it with sharing God's love, mercy, and his unending grace. The transformation in my life was astounding. Today many people walk around angry and complaining about things they cannot control. But did you know that one fit of anger can diminish the immune system for six hours? But laughter will strengthen the immune system for 24 hours. Proverbs 1722 tells us a joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. I discovered my mood changed dramatically when I committed to watching and reading the things that are pleasant to the heart. You don't have to ignore the news, my friend, but watch in moderation and know when to turn it off. We can still change our world, but it starts with changing ourselves. If the friends you are hanging around are pessimistic and gossipy, well, maybe it's time to get some new friends. You are destined for success by guarding what goes into your mind. Take care of yourself. You are destined for success when you begin to eat correctly and exercise. Have you heard the expression sound body and sound mind? It is so true. Can you have success without exercising and eating correctly? Absolutely. But here's something to think about. Let's say you have a car that needs a tune-up. A spark plug is misfiring, the air filter is dirty, and the oil needs to be changed. Your vehicle will still get from point A to point B, but the engine will not operate at its full potential. As a result, you most likely will experience a rough ride. Take the car in for a tune-up and a little TLC, and what a difference in the ride. We are the same way. When we take time to exercise, eat healthy, there will be a difference in our performance. The ride into our life will be much smoother and more relaxing. Even my prayer life is better, and my mind is sharper, and my conversations with Jesus are out of this world. I've been going to a gym for over 45 years. It has become a lifestyle. When I miss it, I can feel it. It just makes me want to exercise even more. The common excuse is, well, I just don't have time, Ron. I say, well, you have to make time. Without your health, what good is anything else? As I get older, I take the time to exercise and it pays dividends in my positive attitude and energy level. God has given us this incredible body and mind. His resurrection power lives on the inside of us. We must pray for the strength, the discipline, and the willpower to be more conscious of our health. You are destined for success when you have the discipline to exercise and eat properly. Hold no grudges. You are destined for success when you give the gift of forgiveness. You know, God has forgiven every goofy thing we've done in our life. So why not forgive those who wronged us? It doesn't mean we give them a free pass. It means we will not allow the actions of others to hold us back any longer. This was one of the most challenging things for me to do. I wanted to carry the baggage of anger and bitterness because I wanted to get even with the people that messed me over. But God had something different. Please hear me when I let go of my bitterness and unforgiveness. It was as if I turned on the faucet of God's unending grace, his love and his mercy began to flow through me. And today I pray for those who wronged me. Actually, I feel sorry for them. My desire to succeed through God is more desirable than holding on to things that will only stunt our growth with God. You are destined for success when you give the gift of forgiveness. Walk by faith. You are destined for success when you embrace change and allow God to be your compass. Walk by faith and not your sight. When the radio station closed and I lost my job, I had no idea what to do. I was scared and concerned for my family. Then the questions came. How can I trust God when I just lost something I dearly loved? I had people tell me, Ron, God has something bigger for you, and when one door closes, another opens. But I didn't want another door to open. I loved what I was doing. Well, a few months later, I ran into a friend working out at the gym. I hadn't seen him in years. But he had a book in his gym bag that he gave me. A God thing again. The first thing I read jumped off the page. The end of something in our life is not the completion of our destiny. God is in the business of strategically putting us in the right place at the right time. But the right place often seems like the wrong place at the wrong time. Wow, I heard God. He was moving me into another part of my destiny. It was a gut check. It forced me to step out in faith and trust God. Whatever he had in store, I was ready to embrace it. So that day I embraced change. And today I have so much fun promoting God's grace, whether I'm speaking, podcasting, or producing events. I need to emphasize that when change comes, and it will, trust God with all your heart. I know a lot of people will tell you kind all kinds of things, but you have to trust Jesus with all your heart and don't lean on your own understanding. God will never, never lead you to failure. We all experience changes that can turn our life upside down. When that happens, remember that God wrote your story and is revealing a new chapter. Be glad that you are still alive to determine your future with the help of Jesus leading you. That is what will keep you humble and dependent on God. You are destined for success when you embrace change and allow Jesus to be your compass. Walk by faith and not by sight. Pray for success. You are destined for success when you pray for success in every part of your life. Failure comes from Adam's fall from grace. Today businesses are failing, churches are closing, marriages are coming apart, and children are turning against their parents. We need to acknowledge the situation, turn everything over to God and pray for success like never before. Success is God's exclamation point on his honor and glory. If what we do is based on the right motives, not selfish greed or ambition, but on being the best at what we do in life, then we will see success through God. Colossians chapter 3, verse 23 tells us, whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men. Becoming God conscious enables you to make good decisions, control your tongue, and see and hear what you need to see and hear. Pray for success in your marriage, finances, children, health, attitude, and most of all, your relationship with Jesus. You are destined for success when you pray for success in all areas of your life. Listen, you are destined for success when you listen to God still small voice. I cannot emphasize enough how each of us needs some quiet time to reflect. My conversations with Jesus every day is life-changing. I can pour out my heart to him. His grace is unending and it is beautiful. I remember in June of 1985, my gut told me to cancel my Labor Day weekend festival. I ended up canceling an event, surprising a lot of people, but that was my decision. Well, that Labor Day weekend, Hurricane Elena hit the Gulf Coast. And because I listened, my company was saved thousands of dollars. Some people call it instinct or a gut feeling, but I call it God loving us so much that He doesn't want us to see failure. Impulsive decisions can often cause trouble. I today intentionally listen for God's voice because I can't afford to make mistakes with long-term consequences. We must allow the Holy Spirit to lead us. It never ceases to amaze me how one day I am confused and lost in what to do. And then after my conversation with Jesus, pouring out my heart to him, the perfect idea comes to me. Wow, you are destined for success when you listen to God still small voice. So what is the power of faith? The power of faith allows us to live a life of peace, passion, and purpose. The power of faith allows us to see God at work in our lives and the lives of others. The power of faith allows us to walk into the unknown without fear or trepidation. The power of faith will empower us to drive away the darkness with prayer and fresh boldness. The power of faith affirms that you are a significant piece of God's worldwide puzzle. The power of faith gives you the desire to provide the gift of forgiveness. The power of faith reminds us that with God all things are possible. Some final thoughts. Friends, the most important thing, I think precious thing we have today is our friends, family, and loved ones. And every day as I get older, I realize it really is a true gift. We've all heard the saying, boy, time sure seems to fly by. It does. So I want to encourage you to take time, to slow down, stop and smell the roses, enjoy your family. You never know what tomorrow will bring. God loves you, God has a plan for you, and you are destined for success when you get the hell out of your life and trust Jesus for your entire life.

SPEAKER_01:There's something so relaxing about seeing the big willowy white sails of a sailboat gliding across the water. But woe to any boat whose rudder breaks. It's impossible to sail without a rudder to guide you. That's a feeling a lot of people know. Our lives seem rudderless, drifting without any real sense of direction. But that can change with Jesus at the helm. Learn more. Call 888-Need Him or chat with us live at needhim.org.
Ron Meyers:As I close out today's show, I want to remind you that faith has a transformative power that significantly impacts our lives. It involves trusting in God's promises and recognizing that he has a unique plan for each of us. Jeremiah 1.5 reminds us that God knew us before we were born and set us apart for his purposes, assuring us that we are created and loved by him. Faith allows us to see beyond our circumstances and trust in God's goodness. We can embrace our identity in Christ, knowing we are forgiven, loved, and accepted. Romans 8.28 tells us that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, even in setbacks. God is working to guide us towards his plan. So when facing challenges, faith encourages us to learn and grow from our experiences rather than strive for perfection. Philippians 4.13 reminds us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, highlighting the importance of relying on his power. Remember, God is always with you, guiding and comforting you. As you trust in him and recognize your unique gifts, you can confidently step into the next chapter of your life, knowing you are never alone and that God is for you. I will be back next week with another great episode of Get the Hell Out of Your Life available on your favorite podcast platform. Until then, this is Ron Myers reminding you that I love you, Jesus loves you, and when you give Jesus your heart, you not only get the hell out of your life, but you will get the power of faith.
